Biography

Panagiota Angeli is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL) and the Deputy Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. She leads the ThAMeS Multiphase group, which specializes in complex multiphase flows and their applications in sustainable processing. She obtained her Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and her PhD in Multiphase Flows from Imperial College London. Throughout her career, Professor Angeli has played a pivotal role in securing substantial funding from the UK Research Council and the European Union for research initiatives in the field. She has been awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Leverhulme Trust and has participated in and chaired international research funding review panels in several countries, including Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium, and Germany. With a prolific output, she has published over 200 journal papers, contributing significantly to advancements in chemical engineering and sustainable development.
