Biography

Panayiotis Danassis is a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Southampton, having joined the institution in 2025. He previously worked as a research scientist at Telenor Research. Dr. Danassis completed his PhD in the field of Artificial Intelligence under the supervision of Professor Boi Faltings at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. His research interests focus on the societal impact of AI, particularly in Cooperative AI and Agentic AI. He led a notable research collaboration with Google Research and ARMMAN to enhance maternal messaging programs.
