Biography

Panos Kanavos is a Professor of Practice in International Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and serves as the Deputy Director of LSE Health. He leads the Medical Technology Research Group (MTRG) and has held visiting professor positions at SDA Bocconi in Milan, University of Basel, University of Delaware, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has been involved in various health policy reforms across high-, upper middle-, and lower-to-middle-income countries, advising international organizations such as the World Bank and the European Commission. He has extensive experience engaging with governments and NGOs to support health reform initiatives and implement health strategies across multiple regions.
