Biography

Pao-Tai Lin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is the Director of the Mid-Infrared Integrated Photonics Remote Sensing Laboratory (MiPRoS). His research interests lie in Mid-Infrared Integrated Photonics, Biomedical Sensors-on-a-Chip, Multiscale Fabrication Technologies, Reconfigurable Materials, and Nanophotonics & Metamaterials. He completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering at Northwestern University and has held a Postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in conjunction with the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Lin has been recognized for his work with several awards, including the Paper Finalist Award at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Nano Conference in 2014 and the User Award talk at the Argonne National Laboratory Annual Users Meeting in 2008. His contributions to the field have been significant, and he continues to push the boundaries of research in his areas of expertise.
