Dr. Parfait Eloundou Enyegue

Biography

Parfait Martial Eloundou-Enyegue is a Professor in the Global Development Section and Section Head at Cornell University. His research broadly addresses the interconnectedness of population dynamics, social change, and sustainable development. With a focus on contemporary demographic changes and their effects on global inequality, education, youth employment, health, and food security, Parfait employs advanced decomposition methods to reconcile quantitative sociological research traditions, enhancing the understanding of social change. Before joining Cornell, he was affiliated with the RAND Corporation. He has taught across continents, primarily in Africa, North America, and Asia, bringing extensive field research and policy communication experience. Parfait has received numerous accolades, including teaching and research awards from esteemed institutions. He has led significant demographic training initiatives in Francophone Africa and consulted for organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank.
