Parisa Yousefi Zowj is a lecturer at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Statistics from Payam-e-Noor University and Azad University in Iran in 2005 and 2008, respectively. She earned her Master’s degree in Applied Statistics from Georgia Tech in 2017 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at the same institution. Her research interests focus on developing multiresolution analytical tools, including wavelets and autocorrelation, mainly for signal and image processing applications in medical decision-making. Parisa is also working on Bayesian methods to model genetic consequences related to the transatlantic slave trade. In addition to her research, she serves as an ISyE Teaching Fellow, contributing significantly to the educational mission of the school.
