Biography

Parker Holman holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia, where his research focused on understanding the impact of negative early-life experiences, such as prenatal alcohol exposure and trauma, on social behavior and neurodevelopment. Alongside his neuroscience training, Dr. Holman has an MSEd in Secondary Science Education from Lehman College, City University of New York, and he taught high school science in New York City for several years. With over 15 years of experience in teaching an anatomical curriculum, he has instructed both undergraduate and graduate students using cadaveric dissection techniques. Furthermore, Dr. Holman has contributed to the field by creating open-access neuroanatomy resources, available at neuroanatomy.ca. His research interests include neurobehavioral development, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, and the developmental origins of health and disease, in addition to scholarship in teaching and learning.
