Biography

Partha Mohanram is a Professor of Accounting at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he also serves as Vice-Dean of Research and Resources. He holds the John H. Watson Chair in Value Investing and directs the CPA Ontario Centre for Accounting Innovation. His extensive research focuses on financial statement analysis, valuations of growth firms, and the implications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in accounting practices. Mohanram's scholarly contributions have been recognized with various awards, including the Haim Falk Award from the Canadian Academic Accounting Association in 2017, a research impact award from Rotman in 2018, and the Notable Contributions Award from the American Accounting Association in 2022. Before joining Rotman, he was faculty at Columbia University and New York University. He earned a PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
