Biography

Professor Parwez Hossain is the King James IV Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Southampton and a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at University Hospitals Southampton. He began his clinician-scientist career as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow at Aberdeen University, where he earned a PhD in Immunology and Biomedical Physics/Engineering, studying T-cell traffic in ocular inflammation.
