Biography

Pascal Audet is a Full Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Ottawa. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Université de Montréal in 2002, followed by a Master’s degree at Université du Québec à Montréal in 2004, and a PhD at the University of British Columbia in 2008. His research interests focus on various aspects of geophysics, particularly seismology, plate tectonics, and the structure and rheology of the lithosphere. He is actively engaged in researching subduction zones, contributing to the understanding of tectonic processes and material behavior at depth. Through his work, he aims to advance knowledge of the Earth’s internal structure and the dynamics of plate movements, especially in relation to seismic activity.
