Biography

Pascal Fallavollita completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from École Polytechnique in 2008, after earning his BEng in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University in 2002. He has contributed to postdoctoral fellowships at Queen’s University and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, specializing in collaboration teams. His research activities were led in the Chair of Computer Aided Medical Procedures at Technische Universität München, which is recognized as a world-class leader in translational research and medical augmented reality. His efforts in research have resulted in numerous publications and patents. Fallavollita's primary research focus is promoting healthy aging through the application of augmented and virtual reality in medical education and rehabilitation, as well as surgical simulation and training, intraoperative imaging, and the development of surgical systems and user interfaces for therapy delivery.
