Biography

Pascal Riendeau holds a Ph.D. from Université de Montréal and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Language Studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough. He has extensive teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His undergraduate courses primarily focus on Québec literature, theatre, and cinema culture. At the graduate level, he teaches contemporary French Québec literature and literary theory. His current research interests concentrate on the discourse of ethics in contemporary literature. Riendeau is also a co-director of the research group Groupe de recherche et d’étude sur la littérature française d’aujourd’hui (GRELFA), which collaborates with scholars including Barbara Havercroft (UTSG) and Pascal Michelucci (UTM) to study current French literature.
