Biography

Pascale Crépon received her Ph.D. in French Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2009. Her dissertation, entitled 'Theatre Process Humanization,' examines the role of the interrelation between body language and modern cultures, focusing on the problematic interaction between the individual and the collective. This research introduces a new discourse concerning the relationship between identity and violence, articulating a necessary condition for cognition and embodiment. Dr. Crépon’s areas of concentration include 20th and 21st-century theatre and Swiss-French literature. She is currently engaged in translating Swiss-French plays and is preparing a course entitled 'Learning French Theatre.' In recognition of her achievements, she received the Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Department of French and Italian at the University of Minnesota.
