Dr. Pasha Shakoori

Biography

Pasha Shakoori is a dedicated adult and pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon at Johns Hopkins Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His expertise includes managing a wide range of conditions such as cleft lip and palate, congenital ear anomalies, temporomandibular joint diseases, jaw deformities, craniosynostosis, and facial paralysis, which often benefits from reanimation surgery. Dr. Shakoori is committed to enhancing surgical outcomes and improving the quality of life for his patients. He completed his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and a doctorate in dental surgery at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. His postgraduate training includes a combined residency in oral maxillofacial and general surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. As a researcher and educator, he has received multiple honors and made significant academic contributions through numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, particularly in the areas of facial nerve regeneration and microsurgical techniques in cleft and craniofacial surgery.
