Biography

Patricia K. Donahoe, M.D., is a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and the Director of the Pediatric Surgical Research Laboratories at Massachusetts General Hospital. With a career spanning multiple decades, she has focused on developmental biology and its clinical applications, particularly in relation to Müllerian Inhibiting Substance (MIS) and its potential as an anticancer agent in human ovarian carcinomas. Dr. Donahoe is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, and her work has earned numerous accolades including research prizes and honorary degrees.
