Biography

Dr. Patricia Hall is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Western University. She has a medical degree from the University of Ottawa and has been active in child adolescent psychiatry for over a decade, specializing in mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Hall served as the Interim Department Head for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children's Hospital, Western University. She created and implemented the Child Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Subspecialty Program at Western, which has garnered national recognition. As Program Director from 2010 to 2020, she led multiple successful reviews and initiatives in the CAP subspecialty, receiving awards for excellence in postgraduate education, including the Schulich Award and the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Postgraduate Education Award. Dr. Hall is also involved with the Royal College's CAP Specialty Committee and has contributed to education nationally as Vice Chair of the Canadian Academy of Child Adolescent Psychiatry Education Committee. Her work focuses on improving access to urgent psychiatric consultations and enhancing the efficiency of ambulatory programs through various projects.
