Patricia Osseweijer is a full professor and section leader in Biotechnology and Society at TU Delft. Her research focuses on the sustainable design of value chains, impact assessments, and the role of values, trust, and responsibility in achieving sustainability. In 2010, she became the Flagship Manager of a €12 million socio-economic program focused on the societal embedding of a Sustainable Biobased Society, which was supported by a €120 million government-backed consortium. Additionally, Patricia directs the TU Delft/BE-Basic office program in Brazil and leads a Dual Degree PhD program designed to produce 100 Dual Degrees by 2025. She coordinates advanced courses and numerous joint research projects, and is a co-initiator of the MOOC in Industrial Biotechnology on the EdX platform. Over her career, Patricia has published over 90 articles, reports, and papers and has given more than 125 presentations.
