Biography

Patricio Simari is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University. His main research interests lie in geometry processing, computational understanding of shapes, and their applications in computer graphics, vision, health, and robotics. He received his Licentiate in Computer Science in 2001 from Universidad Nacional del Sur in Argentina, followed by an MSc and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2004 and 2009, respectively. From 2008 to 2013, Simari conducted postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins, Autodesk Research, and the University of Maryland, College Park, where he focused on geometry processing applications, including cancer treatment and computer-aided design. He joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins University in the fall of 2021.
