Biography

Patrick gained over 20 years of capital market regulation experience at Blaney McMurtry LLP, representing public companies, private investors, and various industry participants in a comprehensive range of legal services. In 2023, Patrick joined the Ministry of the Attorney General as a Vice-Chair adjudicator with Tribunals Ontario. He obtained his Master of Laws degree in Securities Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1998 and has been recognized in Cannabis Law by Best Lawyers® In Canada from 2020 to 2022. Since 2020, Patrick has served as a part-time instructor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where he teaches courses in Securities Regulations, Property Law, and Administrative and Regulatory Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario, and the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association. Additionally, he has held positions such as past President and Chairman of the Board of The DAM Develop-Assist-Mentor and currently serves as Director and Chair of the Governance Committee for the Ontario Beekeepers’ Association. Patrick enjoys the daily health benefits of working on his family farm.
