Biography

Dr. Cusatis joined Penn State Harrisburg in 2002, while he has been instructing at Penn State continuously since 1993. He served as principal at Municipal Capital Investments Group, LLC before his tenure at Penn State. Prior to joining Penn State, he was senior vice president in charge of municipal derivatives and remarketing at Tucker-Anthony. Before his role at Tucker-Anthony, Dr. Cusatis was a director at CoreStates Bank and Union National Bank. He started his career specializing in municipal new product development at Lehman Brothers in New York City. Dr. Cusatis has authored numerous articles and books published in respected journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, and Journal of Futures Markets, and his research has been widely featured in the financial press including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Fortune, Forbes, and Business Week. He co-authored significant publications such as 'Municipal Derivative Securities: Uses and Valuation' (1994, Irwin), 'Streetsmart Guide to Valuing Stock' (1999, 2004, McGraw-Hill), and 'Hedging Instruments for Risk Management' (2005, McGraw-Hill).
