Biography

Patrick Doherty is a Professor and Head of the Artificial Intelligence unit (AILAB) at Linköping University. With over 30 years of experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, he has considerably contributed to knowledge representation, automated planning, intelligent autonomous systems, and collaborative multi-agent systems. He is recognized for his extensive research, culminating in 200 refereed publications and 6000 citations, predominantly in AI and related areas. His research group has successfully designed and deployed autonomous UAV systems, achieving recognition by winning several international competitions for UAVs in automated planning. Additionally, Patrick is the Editor-in-Chief of the Artificial Intelligence journal and is a fellow of the European AI Association (EURAI/ECCAI). He has delivered keynote and invited talks at major international conferences such as IJCAI, KR, and ECAI, and is actively involved with the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technology Laboratory (UASTECH).
