Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Patrick Harter. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Professor Patrick N. Harter leads the Translational Neurooncology research group at the Institute of Neuropathology, focusing on clinical and experimental neuropathology, primarily concerning brain tumor patients. His group develops innovative diagnostic tools aimed at better classification of brain tumors. Additionally, they create therapy-monitoring algorithms to predict clinical outcomes. The research employs bioinformatics algorithms applied to (epi)genetic, transcriptional, and proteomic data, enhancing the understanding of tumor biology and patient clinical paths. The team possesses extensive experience in diagnostic neuropathology and preclinical brain tumor modeling. They collaborate closely with the Neurooncological Center of CCC Munich, the German Consortium for Translational Cancer Research, and the German Society for Neuropathology. Long-standing collaborations with global researchers in neurooncology further enhance their research.
