Dr. Patrick Perras

Biography

Patrick Perras is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Laval University, specializing in project management. He holds a Ph.D. in Administration with a focus on Project Management from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), alongside an MBA in Technology Management from the same institution. He is Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Perras' teaching areas include strategic project management, complex project management, and agile project management, with a focus on internship supervision and program testing. He has actively participated in advancing the discipline through the organization of conferences, including co-organizing the first Research Day in collaboration with the Project Management Chair at ESG UQAM. Additionally, he has been a member of PMI for over two decades and served as a volunteer director for PMI-Montréal. Perras is committed to knowledge popularization, having delivered webinars and produced videos discussing the role of boards in project management. His contributions to academia and professional organizations highlight his dedication to the field of project management and education.
