Biography

Patrik Nasr is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Linköping University, specializing in epidemiology and non-invasive diagnosis of chronic liver diseases, particularly non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). His expertise includes the evaluation of novel biomarkers and non-invasive imaging techniques to assess liver diseases without reliance on traditional liver biopsies. He is also a postdoc at Karolinska Institute, affiliated with the Hagström group, and plays a key role in studying the intricate relationships between body composition, sarcopenia, and chronic liver disease prognosis. Patrik has contributed to various networks and initiatives aimed at researching ectopic fat storage and has been engaged in teaching within the Medical Programme at Linköping University.
