Biography

Paul Barnes has been a practising lawyer since 2005 and holds membership in the Law Society of Ontario and the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society. He is currently employed as Senior Legal Counsel at Intact Insurance in Mississauga, where his practice consists of a variety of insurance defence litigated matters on behalf of Intact and its policyholders. Paul holds a B.A. (Hons.) from Acadia University (2000) and an LL.B. from the University of Windsor (2004). Outside of the office (and classroom), Paul's interests primarily relate to all matters of Canadian football, box lacrosse, professional baseball, and travel. 'Tort law forms the basis of the civil justice system not just across Ontario and Canada, but across all English Common Law jurisdictions. I am looking forward to helping Lincoln Alexander Law students supplement their theoretical course material with the practical insight of a lawyer who has actively practiced in this field for their entire career.'
