Biography

Overall, Paul Frédéric Blanche's research ranges from applied biostatistics and epidemiology to clinical research, with projects focusing on theoretical and computational developments in biostatistics. His initial methodological research topics mainly concentrated on survival and competing risks data, along with the development and validation of prediction models. More recently, his research interests have evolved to include causal inference, multiple testing, the design of group sequential clinical trials, and empirical likelihood inference. He collaborates intensively with a diverse group of clinicians from Gentofte Hospital and Rigshospitalet, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and pediatricians. His projects are based on Danish registry data, leveraging large data sets for randomized clinical trials.
