Biography

Paul Bramadat received a Bachelor of Arts in religious studies from the University of Winnipeg in 1990, a Master of Arts in religion and culture from McGill University in 1993, and a PhD in religious studies from McMaster University in 1998. He taught in the Religious Studies Department at the University of Winnipeg from 1998 to 2008. Since 2008, Paul has been directing the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the University of Victoria while also holding teaching appointments in the Department of History and the Religious Studies Program. His expertise lies in Modern Canadian History, Religion, Secularism, and Radicalization, contributing significantly to the field through his research and publications.
