Biography

Paul Casola is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, specializing in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He completed his MD and PhD and is board certified in addiction medicine. Casola has extensive experience in general psychiatry and has worked as a medical psychiatric consultant at the Salvation Army Harbour Light Addictions Program in Toronto from 1990 to 2012. His research focuses on sleep, substance use, and the effects of psychiatric medications on sleep. Casola is also a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and has served on various committees related to fitness to practice in Ontario.
