Dr. Paul Fennell

Biography

Paul Fennell is a Professor of Clean Energy at Imperial College London, co-directing the Centre for Doctoral Training in Green Industrial Futures since 2024. He has held various positions at Imperial College London since 2007, including Senior Lecturer, Reader, and Lecturer in Clean Energy. He previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge's Department of Chemical Engineering. His academic background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University, where he also earned his BA and MEng with honors. Fennell's research primarily focuses on industrial decarbonization strategies, efficiency improvements in energy production processes, and the integration of low-carbon technologies in various sectors. His work encompasses policy areas such as Carbon Capture and Storage and the development of low-carbon cement production. He collaborates with both government and industry stakeholders to implement sustainable energy solutions.
