Biography

Paul Gifford completed his BSc degree at City University, London, in Optometry Visual Science. He worked in full-time optometry practice specializing in contact lenses and binocular vision. He completed his MSc at City University, London. In 2005, he moved to Sydney to pursue a doctorate at the University of New South Wales, and upon graduation in 2009, he took a position as Acting Clinic Director at the Optometry Clinic of the University of New South Wales. Subsequently, he returned to a full-time research postdoctoral position with the Research Orthokeratology Group at UNSW. Paul Gifford has received the British Contact Lens Association Da Vinci Award in 2009 and the Dallos Award in 2012.
