Biography

Paul Gribble is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Western University, having started as an Assistant Professor in 2000 and subsequently promoted to Associate Professor and then Full Professor. He earned his B.Sc. in Cognitive Science from Queen's University and completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology. His postdoctoral research was conducted in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Queen's University, focusing on the neural representations of motor skills in non-human primates. His ongoing research examines fundamental questions in human sensory-motor systems, including the brain's control over voluntary movement and the plasticity of sensory-motor brain areas that support motor learning. His recent studies address topics such as motor learning through visual observation, the neural control of limb stiffness, and the computational modeling of movement control. Paul has contributed extensively to the field through his involvement in research and teaching at the university level.
