Dr. Paul Gugliuzza

Biography

Paul Gugliuzza is an expert on intellectual property law and civil procedure. His research focuses on patent law litigation and includes articles published in leading journals such as Stanford Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Law Review, Virginia Law Review, and Duke Law Journal. He has testified before the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, with his scholarship cited in twenty judicial opinions. Gugliuzza has received recognition for his teaching and contributed to major news outlets. He graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University School of Law, clerked for Judge Ronald Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and practiced in the Issues and Appeals group at Jones Day in Washington, D.C. Before joining UT, he held professorships at Temple University and Boston University, where he earned the Dean’s Award for excellence in teaching.
