I hold the position of Lecturer in Machine Learning at the University of Glasgow since January 2022. I previously completed a BA in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in 2009 and an MSc in Informatics at the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Following that, I worked at Blackford Analysis for four years, focusing on research and development for medical imaging applications. I completed my PhD in 2018 at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Vittorio Ferrari. Afterward, I spent several years as a postdoc in the Computer Vision and Machine Learning Group at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) under Christoph Lampert. My research interests include building machines that understand the visual world with minimal human input, focusing on generative AI, probabilistic machine learning, and 3D computer vision, with applications in physical sciences and healthcare. I am currently accepting new PhD students with strong coding and mathematics backgrounds, particularly in probability and linear algebra.
