Biography

Paul Jennings is a Full Professor and Chair of the Division of Molecular Computational Toxicology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His academic journey began with a Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacology from University College Dublin, where he later completed his PhD under the supervision of Professor Michael P. Ryan. Jennings further advanced his expertise by obtaining a Habilitation in Physiology from Innsbruck Medical University. He has collaborated widely with specialists to build integrated testing systems for chemical safety assessment, contributing to several interdisciplinary projects aimed at advancing toxicology. His work supports the development of clinically-translational mechanistic biomarkers and regulatory applications regarding adverse outcome pathways. Jennings is actively involved in editorial roles and serves as the Vice President of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Toxicologie.
