Biography

Paul Judge is a Reader in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in Electrical Engineering and Electronics. His research focuses on HVDC converters, optimized design of modular converter topologies, and hybrid converter technologies, emphasizing energy efficiency and short-term dynamic overload capabilities. Currently, he engages in teaching modules such as Power Engineering Fundamentals and Advanced Power Electronics at the MSc level.
