Biography

Paul Lu is a Senior Lecturer and Program Director of the Master of Engineering Management at the Daniel J. Epstein School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California (USC). He has been involved in teaching since 1986 and has a rich background of over 40 years in the aerospace industry, where he held leadership roles in Advanced Aircraft Programs, Engineering Program Management, and Operations. He started his academic career as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University before transitioning to USC. Lu has been recognized as an iPodia Faculty Fellow in 2024. His research interests include strategic implementation of technology innovations, systems engineering, and project program management, focusing on addressing industry needs through the development of new educational courses. Furthermore, Lu has authored textbooks aimed at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical professionals, focusing on product development and project management. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Master's in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. Paul is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Project Management Institute and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
