Paul McGonigal is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Oxford, where he investigates dynamic processes in organic functional materials. His research group is recognized for its work on stabilised aromatic carbocations and fluxional carbon cages, which are crucial in understanding the properties of shapeshifting molecules.
