Biography

Paul started his investment management career at Royal Insurance in 1983. After completing the Society of Investment Analysts Associateship, he joined a small team managing Royal's in-house long-term UK Equity portfolios. In 1990, following the lifting of exchange controls in Sweden, he joined Trygg-Hansa’s London start-up operation to manage UK Equity exposure. By 1994, he transitioned to the private client arena, part of the Investment Unit at Lloyds Private Banking, where he diversified his role to incorporate extensive presentation packages of the Bank’s investment strategy delivered across the country. In 1996, he took the opportunity to join Bank Butterfield in Bermuda, leading global equity research efforts in London for the Bank’s offshore private client base. As his freelance financial training commitments grew, Paul spent time analyzing the operations of high-risk security companies quoted in oil and mining sectors worldwide. In 2000, he moved into full-time training with Euromoney Institutional Investor, specializing in Fund Management, Equity Markets, Private Banking, and Hedge Funds. In 2004, he founded Chadley House Training Limited, working with existing providers to establish a market presence in Asia, the Middle East, and West Africa. His clientele has included Citigroup, Axa Investment Managers, and the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Paul is a member of the London Stock Exchange Academy Training Team and currently teaches in the MSc Management programme and Wealth Management MSc Finance programme at University College London.
