Biography

Paul Mitcheson received his MEng degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering in 2001 and his PhD degree in 2005 from Imperial College London. He currently serves as a Professor in Electrical Energy Conversion within the Control Power Research Group at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research interests focus on energy harvesting systems, wireless power transfer, and power electronics. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a senior member of the IEEE. Additionally, he was the general co-chair of PowerMEMS 2013, which took place at the Royal Society in London, and sits on the Executive Committee of the UK Power Electronics Centre. Mitcheson is actively involved in the academic community and contributes to advancing technology in the field of electrical engineering.
