Biography

Paul Mundy is a Programme Leader for the MSc in Building Surveying at UWE Bristol. He has a diverse educational background, holding a Master of Science in Sustainable Development Practice and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Building Surveying. His professional journey began with an HND in Building Studies, progressing to roles in the industry as a building surveyor for various clients, including city and county councils, NHS trusts, and corporate clients like Tesco and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Paul transitioned into education, delivering construction and civil engineering courses across several further education providers in the Southwest. He obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and Training while leading national diploma awards at Swindon College and Weston College. His academic interests include sustainability in the built environment, particularly sustainable building technologies and green infrastructure. Paul continues to be research-active with publications in conference proceedings and currently advises the Bristol City Council on sustainability policy, while also working towards completing his doctorate.
