Dr. Paul Patras

Biography

Paul Patras is a Personal Chair in Mobile Intelligence at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. He has held positions as a research fellow at the Hamilton Institute, National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and was a research assistant at IMDEA Networks in Madrid. Paul has also held visiting research positions at the University of Brescia, Northeastern University, Technical University Darmstadt, and Rice University. His research interests lie in the intersection of mobile networks and intelligence, with a focus on innovative approaches to network slicing and analytics using deep learning. He is actively involved in various collaborative projects, including those aimed at enhancing the security and analytics of mobile networks. Paul is committed to mentoring the next generation of scholars, accepting PhD students in his research group and guiding them through their doctoral studies.
