Biography

Paul Reynolds is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. He earned his MD from Wayne State University and his BS from the University of Michigan. After completing his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Michigan, he shifted focus to Anesthesiology, completing a residency and a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. Since becoming Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology in 1992, he has been a key figure in the field, mentoring over 175 pediatric Anesthesiology fellows and training approximately 1000 anesthesiologists. Dr. Reynolds has delivered more than 65 lectures and presentations both nationally and internationally, covering topics such as pediatric airways and congenital heart disease. With more than 45 peer-reviewed articles and 8 book chapters to his credit, he has contributed significantly to the academic literature. He also played a crucial role in designing modern operating rooms and facilities for the new Children’s Hospital that opened in December 2011.
