Biography

Paul Shearing is a Professor of Sustainable Energy Engineering in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and serves as the Director of the ZERO Institute. He holds the Royal Academy Engineering Chair in Emerging Battery Technologies and is responsible for shaping the Institute's ethos, strategy, and teaching programs. His expertise has made him a principal user of synchrotron and neutron facilities, and he established the UK STFC Global Challenge network focused on Batteries and Electrochemical Devices.
