Biography

Professor Paul Stephan specializes in hadron physics, particle physics, and neutron research. He studied physics at the University of Bonn and obtained his doctorate from the University of Heidelberg. His research has included fellow positions at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg and work as an active visiting scientist at CERN. Additionally, he collaborates with several international research centers, including the Japanese KEK and MLZ Garching ILL in Grenoble. Between 2006 and 2018, he coordinated the Cluster of Excellence 'Origin and Structure of the Universe' at TUM and continues to contribute as a co-coordinator for the Cluster of Excellence ORIGINS. He is involved in teaching courses in particle and nuclear physics, optics, quantum physics, and data analysis. His research has led to significant contributions in the field, including notable publications that influence European strategies in particle physics.
