Dr. Paul Taheri

Biography

Paul Taheri, Chief Executive Officer at Yale Medicine, and Deputy Dean of Yale School of Medicine, provides leadership in a rapidly expanding physician organization that combines compassionate care with the latest advancements in medicine. He has held significant roles, including President and CEO of the University of Vermont Medical Group, and Senior Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs, as well as a Professor of Surgery. He served as Division Chief of Trauma, Burn, and Critical Care, and Vice Chair of Surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Taheri completed his MBA at the Ross School of Business. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., he earned his medical degree from New York University and completed a general surgical residency at Tulane University. His contributions extend to being a past chair of the Group Faculty Practices Association of the American Medical Colleges, and an examiner for the American Board of Surgery. His lectures cover business topics, cost of care, physician leadership, and system optimizations.
