Dr. Paul Tobin

Biography

Paul Tobin is an Associate Professor of Politics at the University of Manchester, specializing in environmental politics, European comparative politics, and public policy. He leads the Manchester Environmental Politics Group and serves as the PhD Director in the Politics Department. His research involves polycentric climate governance and has received significant funding, including a £400,000 ESRC New Investigator grant. He has published extensively, including co-editing several books such as 'Impact of Economic Crisis on European Environmental Policy' and 'Stability in the Politicization of Climate Governance', which is set for publication by Cambridge University Press in 2025. His commitment to teaching is recognized through multiple awards, including 'Most Inspiring Lecturer' from the University of Manchester Students' Union.
