Dr. Paul Van Tongeren

Biography

Paul van Tongeren is a professor emeritus of Practical Philosophy at Radboud University, known for his extensive work in moral ethics, hermeneutics, and practical philosophy. He serves as the academic director of the Centre for Ethics, where he studies the historical applications of moral ethics and the relation of education to the formation of morals. Van Tongeren leads the Nietzsche Research Group, focusing on the significance of Nietzsche's practical philosophy and creating a comprehensive dictionary for interpreting his works. His research interests include education moral development, hermeneutics, and virtue ethics. He has given numerous lectures both domestically and internationally, sharing his expertise in philosophy and ethics.
