Biography

Paul O. Wennberg is the R. Stanton Avery Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College in 1985, followed by a Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1994. He served as an Associate Professor at Caltech from 1998 to 2001 and has held the position of Professor since 2001, becoming the Avery Professor in 2004. His work encompasses various facets of atmospheric science such as spectroscopy, kinetics, and the development of aircraft-borne and ground-based instruments for atmospheric analysis. Additionally, his educational courses include detailed discussions on Earth's climate and atmospheric chemistry, with an emphasis on the impacts of climate change and associated technological advancements.
