Biography

Paul Zelisko is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Brock University. His research interests focus primarily on Silicon Chemistry, including silicone/protein interactions and the development of biomaterials. He explores the use of enzymes as a green method for synthesizing polymeric silicon species such as linear polymers, elastomers, and silica. He has a particular interest in the development of novel silicon-based delivery systems for the topical and oral delivery of biologically active agents, as well as silicon-based coatings for surfaces.
