Biography

Paul Ziade is an Associate Professor (Teaching) at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, an MEng from the University of Waterloo, and a B.A.Sc. from the same institution. His research interests encompass Aerodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Turbulence, and Machine Learning applied to physical phenomena, along with Propulsion, Flow instabilities, Hypersonic flows, and Aerospace systems. Paul is a member of the University of Calgary Aerospace Network (UCAN), participating in various strategic initiatives within the university and collaborating on numerous projects within his field. He has been recognized for his exceptional teaching abilities, receiving multiple awards including the Engineering Students' Society Teaching Award in 2019 and the Departmental Teaching Excellence Award in 2018, highlighting his commitment to education and his contributions to the learning environment.
